Citerna
The village of Citerna, a small medieval town built on the ancient " Civitas Sobaria" dating back to the Roman period, is situated on a lovely hill in one of the most beautiful areas of Umbria, on the border with Tuscany. The ancient 12th century village, is very well preserved and extremely fascinating with its medieval paths, the 14th century churches of San Francesco and San Michele Arcangelo, the paintings of Luca Signorelli, the 15th century church of San Giacomo and Palazzo Vitelli. Citt・di Castello, Arezzo, San Sepolcro, Assisi and Perugia with their artistic, cultural and gastronomic heritage are only some of the nearby tourist attractions. |
