Linari is a special place,not only for the beautiful surrounding scenery over the valley towards Fiesole. This area is full of reglious history, just above Linari is the famous monastery of "Madonna di Sasso" where Saint Briget lived. Linari is where her followers lived in the 13th century and the stone pathway leads from the "Borgo" to the monastery and gives the place a magical feeling.It is in a protected area. Casa Cheli is an attractive stone farmhouse 19 kms from Florence, 500m above sealevel with a breathing view over the Sieve river valley. It represents the typical Tuscan countryside with narrow lanes between cypresses, culitvated fields of vines and olive trees, woods and meadows with horses. It is possible to admire local castles, some ruined through time and history, others still conserved in all their austere beauty. Is made up of a large kitchen with an open fireplace and a dinning area, this is divided by an archway into a sitting room with a double sofa bed. To the left of this is a bathroom with half bath tub and shower. To the right there is a small hall that leads to a double room with single beds on the left, a little bathroom with shower on the right and a large double bedroom straight ahead.
