Torrita di Siena
Overlooking the enchanting Tuscan hill town of Torrita di Siena built around its oldest collegial church the Art Residence dominates the view of the entire area. According to some historians, the church was erected on the remains of an Etruscan temple dedicated, in its time, to Ceres the goddess of vegetation and of land fertility. The Art Residence is built right next to the church extending half around it almost in an embrace and it is exactly the spot where the first settlement of Torrita di Siena sprung a delightful medi誚al town in the heart of Tuscany, a suburb with rural houses, a church and a little place cemetery in splendidly preserved old walls. |
